Attorney Michael Forrest manages the class action litigation department at Forrest | LaMothe and is located in the California office.

Mr. Forrest is dedicated to defending the rights of consumers, employees, and tenants. He practices in the areas of: Consumer Protection; False Advertising; Unfair Insurance Practices; Data Breach/Medical Privacy Litigation; Employment/Wage; Unfair Housing; Unfair Collections and Product Liability.

Prior to his employment with Forrest | LaMothe, Mr. Forrest worked as a litigation attorney where he successfully represented medical providers in hundreds of actions against insurance companies for unpaid medical bills and other unfair insurance practices. As a class action attorney, Mr. Forrest has successfully represented individuals, classes of individuals and classes of businesses in numerous consumer protection, privacy, housing, unfair insurance and employment actions.

Mr. Forrest was awarded his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Maine School of Law, where he served as the co-chair of the moot court team, an appellate advocacy coach, was awarded the Moot Court Competition Prize Brief Award and awarded the Pro Bono Services Recognition Award.  He served as a Rule 90 Prosecutor for the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office, in Portland, Maine and served as a family-law volunteer at the Volunteer Lawyers Project.  In addition, Attorney Forrest earned his Bachelor of Arts degrees in Philosophy and Religious Studies from Rutgers University.

Attorney Forrest is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts, California, New Hampshire and additionally is admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Northern District of California, the United States District Court of Massachusetts, the United States District Court of New Hampshire, the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Attorney Forrest is a member the National Association of Consumer Advocates, the Consumer Attorneys of California and the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys.
